Nail trims are the job pet owners dread most — and for good reason:
- One wiggle near the quick and there's blood, yelping, and guilt that lasts for weeks.
- They pull the paw away the second the clippers touch it — because their feet are on the ground and they can.
- You need a second person just to hold one small animal still.
- So the nails grow — clicking on floors, curling toward the pads, straining their joints with every step.
It's not that your pet is dramatic. It's that they have leverage. Take the leverage away, and the fight disappears.
